PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – National Weather Service officials say the area near Greenwood, Del. suffered “tornadic damage” during Monday’s storm.
According to the NWS initial assessment, the tornado had winds ranging between 75 and 85 mph.
The storms moved through Monday afternoon and evening, causing damage, power outages and tornado warnings in Kent and Sussex counties in Delaware.
The investigators of the NWS in Mount Holly, N.J. are currently conducting a storm survey for the area near Greenwood in Sussex County Delaware.
A final report, including details of the results of the investigation, is expected to be completed and released by 6 p.m. Tuesday.
