Pennsylvania To Name First Recipients Of Medical Marijuana Permits

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Pennsylvania’s Department of Health is expected to name the state’s first recipients of medical marijuana permits.

Twelve permits are being issued.

The recipients will be allowed to grow and then offer medical marijuana in Pennsylvania.

Gov. Tom Wolf signed the Medical Marijuana Program into law in April.

When it’s implemented, which is set for 2018, it will allow patients with certain medical conditions to receive medical marijuana.
